Radiochemistry lab
The radiochemistry laboratory covers an area of 563 m², including a Restrictive Zone (ZRR) of 207 m², distributed over 15 experimental rooms. The laboratory is equipped with cutting-edge scientific equipment (clean rooms, glove boxes, detectors...) for handling and analysis of radioisotopes and the study of their chemical behaviours in connection with fundamental and applied research fields, such as the backend of the nuclear fuel cycle, environmental radioactivity and health. Some equipment is integrated into the technical platforms of OSUNA (Observatoire des Sciences de l'Univers de Nantes Atlantique) and the GIP Arronax. The operation of the analytical park is ensured by highly professional engineers and techniciens of the radiochemistry team.
