International Day of Women and Girls in Science
On February 11, Subatech joined in the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, a date promoted by UNESCO and the UN to highlight the importance of equal opportunities and recognition for women in scientific fields. This day is an opportunity to highlight the essential role of women in research, who are still underrepresented in many scientific sectors today. At Subatech, women hold a wide variety of positions and roles: researchers, engineers, technicians, doctoral students, post-doctoral students, as well as professionals in administration, communication, and research support. All contribute, in their own way, to the laboratory's dynamism and scientific excellence. To mark this day, a photo was taken of some of the women at Subatech, symbolizing the diversity of their backgrounds, skills, and commitments within the laboratory. While this day gives special visibility to women in science, it is of course part of a collective and inclusive approach: research is built on a daily basis thanks to all the women and men who work together at Subatech.
